i'm totallt having a "JEFF KOONS IN THE EARLY 90'S" kind of morning today...
some of you whippersnappers might be too young to remember this, but trust me... this was not shocking or controversial in it's day at all... it was just kinda lame really... but i love this work and i love jeff for doing it with his former italian parliament / porn star wife... i wonder how they feel about these photos now???????

I saw him speak once & do a slide show. When he got to this series he had a photo looking through the doors of the gallery. If I remember correctly he basically said that someone had to do it. It sounded like it was, to him in retrospect, unfortunate it was him. Additionally, these photos are him with his ex wife. He moved on to the glass sculptures fabricated from these photos. Incredible.
