I have never before seen a music video as nerdily meta as this. They are playing a video game of themselves playing guitar as if it is guitar hero. Unreal.
I just don't understand the new metal these kids have these days. Many moons ago metal could not reflect back upon itself with a tinge of satire. Drinking coffee in front of the green screen & laughing into the camera? WTF? Many moons ago, metal really did destroy planets, it was real. I guess I'm in that age cusp where I pretend Metallica's last fifteen years does not exist. the new metal generation lives in a world where they can't ignore Metallica's last fifteen years, it does exist. Pay attention to the man behind the curtain, Lars just sued another teenage girl.
